Bookings

A booking is confirmed when payment has cleared and a confirmation email has been sent. The confirmation email is the legally binding document. If anything in it looks wrong, write to us within seven days.

Cancellations and refunds

You may transfer a seat to a colleague at any time up to two working days before the event, at no cost. You may cancel for a full refund up to 28 days before the event. From 28 to 14 days, we refund half. Within 14 days, the seat is non-refundable unless we can resell it, in which case we refund half. Bookings for the Slow Retreat have a separate schedule documented on that event’s page.

Programme changes

We sometimes have to change a speaker, a venue, or a date. We tell you as soon as we know. If the change is material and you no longer wish to attend, we refund in full regardless of how close to the event the change is announced.

Conduct

We expect attendees to be civil to staff, speakers, and one another. We reserve the right to ask anyone whose conduct is materially unacceptable to leave, without a refund. We have not had to do this. We would prefer not to start.

Recordings and posting rule

Our events operate under the Chatham House rule. Recording, photography, and live posting from sessions is not permitted, except by the official photographer working to a brief agreed in advance.

Briefing subscription

The monthly briefing is free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any briefing email.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship agreements are documented separately and signed by both parties. Nothing on this page modifies the terms of a signed sponsorship agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
